Dzivielevski led out for 2,400,000, producing a fold from Berger to open up a sizeable chip advantage.

Dzivielevski Starts Heads Up Well

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

In the first postflop hand of the heads up, Yuri Dzivielevski raised to 1,300,000 from the button and Paul Berger defended his big blind. The flop came KA9 and Dzivielevski put out a continuation-bet of 600,000, which Berger check-called.

Berger then checked again on the Q river, but would fold when Dzivielevski upped the ante to 3,000,000 this time.

The next hand, Berger raised his button to 1,300,000 and Dzivielevski put out the first three-bet of the battle, to 3,500,000. Berger quickly folded and another pot was shipped the Brazlian's way.

The flop came 1078, keeping Plante in the lead, but when the K hit the turn, the lead quickly changed.

As the dealer burned a card and started to put out the river, Plante's rail was screaming for an ace and when it appeared on the river in the form of the A, the lead swung back in Plante's direction, his rail went crazy and Liang was forced to stand and exit the tournament area in fifth place for $51,700.

Dzivielevski Grabs Chip Lead in Rare Postflop Pot

In the previous level, Yuri Dzivielevski raised to 800,000 from the cutoff and Michael Liang defended the big blind after confirming the stack of his opponent.

The flop then came J7A and Liang checked to Dzivielevski, who put out a bet of 450,000. Liang then sneakily check-raised to 1,100,000 and Dzivielevski made the call.

On the 5 turn, Liang shoved all in, covering Dzivielevski's 3,950,000 remaining chips. Dzivielevski snap called and both players' holdings were revealed.
